The Center for International Affairs (CIA) at Transworld Institute of Technology was established in 2007. The center is responsible for all aspects of international education and exchanges at Transworld Institute of Technology. The center works with schools in and out of Taiwan in order to develop a faculty, staff and student population that has a beneficial worldview. Transworld Institute of Technology is actively pursuing agreements and exchanges with colleges and universities around the world.
The Center for International Affairs' responsibilities include:
Centralizing all aspects of international education and agreements at Transworld Institute of Technology: The center will be the window to the world for the school and will be responsible for maintaining all agreements and programs with international and cross-strait colleges and universities.
Actively preparing individuals for academic exchanges (including conferences, projects and other items) with different international and cross-strait colleges and universities.
Strengthening the relationships between Transworld Institute of Technology and current and future international sister schools: The focus of the sister school agreements will be with colleges and universities in Japan, America, South Asia and China.
Organizing and planning study abroad opportunities for current and future students along with recruiting international students to come to Transworld Institute of Technology to study.
Arranging international students and scholars to study and teach at Transworld Institute of Technology for a short period (a summer or a semester).
Performing the duties of an International Students’ Services Office, responsible for advising and assisting international students studying at Transworld Institute of Technology.
The school currently has many international students from South Asia. The school is actively recruiting both undergraduate and graduate international students. International students may apply for scholarships to study at TIT. The scholarships are awarded based on academic performance and progress, which include a 55% tuition waiver and 4-year free accommodations on campus.
